We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Cardiographer to join our dynamic team at Northumbria Healthcare. In this role, you will play a critical part in diagnosing and monitoring heart conditions through the use of advanced diagnostic equipment. Responsibilities
* Perform a range of routine and urgent cardiac investigations including 12 Lead Electrocardiographs (ECG).
* Fit and remove 24‑hour ambulatory ECG monitors, event recorders and 24‑hour blood pressure (BP) monitors (with ECG) on both in‑patients and out‑patients.
* Continually obtain accurate test results from a wide cross section of patients. Maintain confidentiality at all times.
* Configure medical device and perform basic IT functions.
* Support with other specialist diagnostic testing.

Qualifications
* Must be educated to GCSE standard.
* After a period of formal in‑house training, would be required to be competent in identifying the correct lead positions in performing a 12 lead ECG, knowledge of basic cardiac rhythms and life threatening arrhythmias.
* Highly developed sensory skills, dexterity and co‑ordination for rapid application of ECG electrodes.
* Work towards completing the Certificate in Electrocardiography exam as set by the Cardiac Society.
