Customer Liaison Officer – 12 months FTC Location : High Wycombe / mobile role travelling to customers' homes Salary : £34,632 p/a plus excellent benefits (F/T 37 hrs Mon-Fri with some flexibility on start & finish times) One of Paradigm's key corporate objectives is to improve the energy efficiency of its homes. Having identified some of our poorer-performing properties in terms of energy efficiency, we are undertaking measures to improve this for the benefit of our customers and our organisation. At the same time, we will be preparing plans to improve all homes with poor energy efficiency and high carbon emissions. The first stage in delivering these improvements to our homes is the successful engagement with our customers. We do this by establishing a rapport and trust, asking relevant questions about customer/household lifestyles and needs. We listen carefully before we make recommendations to improve quality of life and energy efficiency which often leads to a reduction in costs. We take care to explain how these works will be carried out and provide assurance where required. Customer engagement is key and therefore the incumbent will need to be a confident communicator who is able to understand a range of issues and then convey information to a variety of audiences. Accurately recording this onto our systems so that subsequent works are completed in good time and provide improved comfort and affordability. The information you collect is vital in building up an understanding of the customer and their needs and will also be used to measure the success of the project once works are completed. You will also offer some basic energy efficiency advice. You will be their trusted Paradigm contact form the inception to the completion of the works. This is a role where you can utilise your customer service and powers of persuasion skills and experience to get things done and communicate progress, while at the same time for those new to energy efficiency an opportunity to pick up some new skills in an area of national importance. This role is a mobile position, meaning you will be travelling across our property portfolio, our area of operations includes Buckinghamshire, Berkshire, Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire, Oxfordshire and surrounding areas. Our Team We are a small team which is part of the larger Asset Management Strategy Team. You will work with the Customer Liaison Manager and the wider team, together with consultants and contractors to deliver the energy efficiency improvement projects and establish long term customer focussed strategies for energy efficiency improvements and the decarbonisation of our homes. Whilst the position is offered as a 12 months fixed-term contract, given the scale of our organisation and the ongoing opportunities within Paradigm, there is potential for this role to be extended or made permanent. Many of our team members have successfully transitioned from fixed-term positions to long-term roles within the organisation, building rewarding careers. Even if a longer-term opportunity does not emerge, this role provides valuable experience to enhance your career in governance and related fields. Having experience of energy efficiency would be an advantage, however, for those with no experience training will be provided. Experience of working for a social housing provider or/and in a customer facing role. You must be confident about meeting customers in their homes and be an ambassador for Paradigm. You will have excellent communication skills both verbal and written. You will have good negotiation skills and powers of persuasion to positively progress customer discussions and decisions to enable a programme of works to be carried out. You will have excellent organisational skills with the ability to plan your work in a logical way and work well under pressure and to tight deadlines. You will be prepared to work flexibly to meet the needs of our customers, regularly visiting customers in their homes across our area of operation Southeast counties, such as Bucks, Berks, Herts, Greater London and some further afield such as Cambs. Therefore, you must have a full driving licence (preferably clean) and regular access to a car. Business mileage will be reimbursed at the prevailing rate, currently 45p per mile (less home to work mileage) up to the first 10,000 miles p/a.
