Responsibilities
The role will involve:
1. Servicing, maintenance and repairs to Arriva and DVSA standards
2. Continuous improvement of vehicle reliability
3. MOT preparation, planned preventative maintenance campaigns and quality checks
4. Vehicle fault diagnosis and ensuring reliability and maintenance is kept to Arriva Standards (Higher than DVSA)
5. Shift work required - Working 5 days over 6 (Shifts between 05:30am - 14:00pm and 14:00pm - 22:00pm) No Sunday work
Qualifications
Requirements:
6. Level 3 NVQ/IRTEC Qualification (Or equivalent)
7. If you are not qualified, applications may be considered from candidates with at least 5 years' experience in repair and maintenance of PSV/HGV
8. Knowledge of engineering procedures and Health & Safety legislation
9. Inspection of vehicles for the scheduled maintenance - Desirable but not essential
10. Electrical circuits and systems knowledge - Desirable but not essential
11. A full UK driving licence (6 points or less)
12. Ability to be passed fit for a PCV pre-employment medical
