Position Overview
We are looking for a Therapy Assistant Practitioner to join our integrated team that works across the health and social care partnership on a fixed‑term basis for 6 months.
Responsibilities
The postholder will work as part of a multidisciplinary therapy team within the Balfour, providing intermediate care (homefirst, ageing well and ICT) in the community and outpatient settings. Key duties include supporting service‑user discharge from hospital or preventing admission, and facilitating rehabilitation packages for the Community of Orkney.
Qualifications & Experience
* SVQ3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent experience within a health or social‑care setting).
* Experience working directly with patients/service users.
* Understanding of rehabilitation and relevant experience that supports the ethos and aims of the team.
* Evidence of participation in education and training relevant to rehabilitation and enablement‑based working.
* Good standard of general education.
Working Pattern & Contract
Location: The Balfour Post is on a relief basis, with flexible, secondment and hybrid arrangements available. Please discuss arrangements with your line manager prior to application.

Licensing & Residency
