Overview

£36,231 - £40,640 assuming good attendance and up to 4 sleep ins per month

These are rewarding opportunities in our Children’s Homes, where you’ll be part of a young person’s day‑to‑day life, supporting them through highs and lows. Our shift leaders help young people regain their childhood and create pathways to become well‑rounded adults, with challenges and meaningful, small victories along the way.


What we do

Our homes accommodate young people with social, emotional and mental health needs. Our aim is to create the best possible outcomes for the young people in our care. Our shift leaders are fulfilled by making positive changes in our young people and celebrating the small successes.


Responsibilities

* Take care of our young people day to day, ensure things run smoothly and create lasting memories.
* Support the staff team and maintain high standards in the home, prepared to deputise for the Team Leaders.
* Relate to and build relationships with our young people; demonstrate compassion, emotional resilience and leadership to inspire colleagues.


What we offer

* Salary: Base salary of £30,991 - £35,400
* Bonuses: Up to 4 sleep ins per month, paid at £80 per sleep (approx. £3,840 per year) and £1,400 Attendance Allowance – assuming good attendance
* Training: A full 4‑week induction on our Care Academy
* Holiday: 7 weeks’ holiday
* Progression: Most team leaders and managers have been promoted from within; Aspire future managers programme

What we look for

* A can‑do attitude and a team player mindset

* Resilience to handle challenging situations
* A full UK driving licence held for at least 12 months
* If you don’t have a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent), we’ll pay for you to study and support you every step of the way


Training and progression

You’ll start as a Resident Support Worker (RSW) by joining our Care Academy – 4 weeks of off‑the‑job training with experienced WG professionals to help you feel confident and ready to support our young people.
