About the Role
We're looking for an enthusiastic and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant (TA) to join a welcoming and inclusive Primary School in Grays, Thurrock. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful difference by supporting a pupil with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) on a 1:1 basis, helping them to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide 1:1 support to a pupil with additional needs (ASD), promoting engagement and confidence in their learning.
* Work closely with teachers to implement personalised learning plans and adapt activities to suit individual learning styles.
* Support both academic and social development through targeted interventions and positive reinforcement.
* Encourage appropriate behaviour and help foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.
* Monitor and record progress, providing feedback to the teacher, parents, and relevant staff.
* Collaborate with external professionals to ensure a holistic approach to student wellbeing and development.
About You
* Previous experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), ideally in a school setting.
* A warm, patient, and proactive approach to supporting learning.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a dedicated school team.
* Relevant qualifications in education or SEN support are desirable.
Safeguarding & Compliance
This position requires a strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection. Successful applicants must hold (or be willing to apply for) an enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service and provide satisfactory references.
