In this role, you will maintain and repair leakage data equipment and systems, using advanced technology to locate and fix leaks to protect our water supply. Responsibilities
* Maintain and repair leakage data equipment and software systems
* Maintain PRVs (and similar apparatus) identified by our maintenance program
* Troubleshoot data issues which could affect zonal integrity and suspect flows; work with other departments to carry out DMA integrity checks
* Perform site surveys, repair or replace defective data devices and PRV equipment; install and download loggers as required
* Assist in producing reports on data PRV repairs for reporting purposes
* Change or repair district meters and mechanisms on site in line with valve operating procedures and Health and Safety requirements
* Liaise with SEW customer contact centre staff, Production Staff, Engineering Staff, and other SEW staff on data/PRV related work and other leakage team activities
* Assist with South East Water customers as required
* Work out of hours to undertake night work and be available on call as required; may be on standby rota with hours agreed locally
* Perform all administrative requirements of the role (e.g., inputting work onto Nomad, GIS and other corporate systems)
Qualifications and Experience
* Knowledge and experience of pressure reducing values, valve operations, flushing and main tracing
* A valid driving licence
* Able to work in confined spaces and carry out manual handling
* Ability to manage Health and Safety for teams and contractors
* Good communication and customer service skills
Desirable
* Experience repairing data equipment and PRVs
* Experience in Leakage Detection, Water Distribution or Water Production
