Job Description
Graduate Civil Engineer Renewable Energy. Our Renewable Energy Civil team are seeking graduates within their Irish office to join from August 26 onwards.

Projects include all stages of design from feasibility to detailed design and site construction supervision both in the UK and internationally.
Typical Project Example
Lancaster University Solar Farm – AECOM was awarded the contract following the Client’s successful planning application for a private wire ground mount solar farm PV development. AECOM completed a reference design and prepared a full pack for tendering; this included the preparation of technical specifications and clients’ requirements. AECOM are currently acting as the NEC Project Manager and Owner’s Engineer during the build and commissioning of the site.
Red John Pumped Storage Hydro – AECOM successfully supported the ILI Group to gain planning permission for the 450 MW pumped storage hydro project. AECOM provided EIA, consenting, environmental surveys and engineering support from the early stages of feasibility through to a positive decision by the Scottish Minister.
Here’s What You’ll Do
* Supporting the delivery of consultancy services on renewable energy engineering projects.
* Providing input into feasibility level studies for renewable energy projects in conjunction with the wider AECOM teams.
* Preparation of technical reports.
* Preparation of detailed design information.
* Assisting in securing work with renewable energy developers and their supply chain.

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
* BEng (Civil Engineering)
* MSc/MEng would be an advantage.
* 2:1 (or equivalent) degree classification or above.
* Able to demonstrate a commitment to continued education and improvement through approved training schemes.
* Demonstrable interest in a career in renewable energy.
* Good Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel & PowerPoint).
* Ability to communicate effectively to internal and external clients, both verbally and in writing.
* Enthusiastic, hard‑working, with ambition and drive.
* Ability to structure & prioritise work effectively through close cooperation with the team.
* Ability to work in a team and independently without losing initiative & focus.
Preferred Qualifications
* Work experience in the renewable energy or related field.
* Some familiarity with CAD and ArcGIS.
* Driving licence.
* Student member of an appropriate professional institution.
* Working ability in a second language and/or relevant work experience outside the UK/Ireland.
