In this role you work closely with all colleagues within the operation, along with the wider Management Team and support functions to ensure delivery of a first class, professional and consistent Operation. As a Warehouse Team Manager at Debenhams Group, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily activities of warehouse personnel, ensuring efficient operations, and maintaining a safe working environment. You will play a critical role in optimising productivity and delivering exceptional service to our customers.
The working hours for this role is Tuesday - Saturday, 07:00am - 15:00pm
Responsibilities
* Lead, motivate, and manage a team of warehouse associates.
* Create work schedules, assign tasks, and ensure adequate staffing levels.
* Train new employees and provide ongoing training to improve skills.
* Set performance goals, conduct regular evaluations, and provide feedback.
* Enforce safety protocols, conduct safety training, and maintain a safe working environment.
* Collaborate with other departments, such as logistics, procurement, and customer service, to ensure smooth operations.
* Generate and analyse performance metrics and report findings to upper management.
Requirements
* Personable with strong communication and relationship building capabilities.
* Understanding of health & safety regulations and practices within a warehouse setting.
* Leadership and management skills to achieve targets in a fast-paced environment.
* Effectively motivate a team.
* Good knowledge of people policies.
* Problem solving abilities.
* Strong time management skills and ability to prioritise workloads effectively.
* Diplomatic nature and ability to resolve issues efficiently and professionally.
