About the Post
The role is within the Strategic Communications and Marketing team, supporting the Children’s Service with a primary focus on fostering and adoption.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and deliver engaging communications and marketing activities across multiple channels.
* Create high‑quality content, including copywriting, social media posts, and digital campaigns.
* Manage public relations, liaise with media and promote council stories.
* Plan and execute integrated communications and marketing campaigns with SMART objectives.
* Deliver digital marketing strategy, utilising Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok and other platforms.
* Tell stories that resonate with diverse audiences and support council priorities.
* Prioritise and manage multiple projects, ensuring political considerations are met.
Qualifications and Experience
* Level 6 qualification in communications, marketing or a related subject, or Level 3 qualification with extensive equivalent experience.
* Proven experience in communications or marketing roles, including public relations and media engagement.
* Strong copywriting, digital marketing, and social media skills.
* Ability to work autonomously, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
* Political awareness and understanding of stakeholders’ impact.
