We are recruiting an Early Careers Manager to join our early career team. Reporting to our Talent & Engagement Manager, you will oversee the recruitment and development of apprentices, industrial placement students, and graduates to support a highly skilled workforce. You will also establish a fair and transparent early careers strategy aligned with the VolkerWessels UK Fairness, Inclusion, and Respect (FIR) agenda, aimed at attracting, developing, and retaining emerging talent. Additionally, you will support our current cohort of 160 graduates and lead the recruitment of 60 graduates for the 2025 intake.
About our role
Recruitment
* Sourcing candidates for emerging talent programs
* Reviewing and managing recruitment processes to align with FIR objectives
* Onboarding emerging talent candidates
* Collaborating with universities and partner organizations
Managing Work Experience / Summer Placements / ITP / Graduate Programs
* Developing training programs in conjunction with group-wide frameworks
* Maintaining and analyzing emerging talent data
* Building a pipeline for future recruitment through these programs
Stakeholder Management
* Liaising with stakeholders to meet business needs
* Supporting line managers in developing emerging talent
* Engaging with team members including our Apprenticeship Lead, Early Careers Manager, and L&D BP to deliver programs and meet talent needs
About you
You will have demonstrable experience supporting emerging/early talent, with strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships. You should be well-organized, capable of managing multiple priorities, and an effective communicator who can coordinate efforts across teams.
