Role Summary
Lateral Dx is seeking a Lateral Flow Development Scientist for an exciting on‑site, full‑time role located in Alloa. The scientist will design, develop, and optimise lateral flow assays to meet project objectives, conduct experiments, analyse data, troubleshoot issues, collaborate with team members, and document outcomes. Additional responsibilities may include evaluating materials, maintaining quality standards, and contributing to technology transfer for scale‑up manufacturing.

* Experience in data analysis, experimental design, and documentation in a scientific setting.
* Knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality control in assay production.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a laboratory environment.
* Ph.D. or Master’s degree in Biochemistry, Biological Sciences, or a related field; equivalent experience considered.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills for reporting and presentations.
* Prior experience in diagnostic sectors such as veterinary, environmental, or clinical testing is advantageous.
