Our Ophthalmology Department currently has an internal opportunity for a Bank Healthcare Support Worker/Ophthalmology Technician. Continue your journey with us while we support you to be your best.
Responsibilities
* Put patient care first
* Carry out administrative duties
* Support a team of Registered Nurses and consultants in the delivery of exceptional patient care, pre‑ and post‑surgery
* Enjoy time to get to know the people who are our patients
* Meet the needs of every individual
* Use your organisational skills to make a positive impact and experience
* Perform ophthalmic diagnostics
* Assist with intravitreal injections
* Assist RGN with oculoplastic minor operations
Qualifications
* Ability to meet deadlines and follow instructions, with a good telephone manner and strong computer and database skills.
* NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care, with relevant experience in an acute hospital or care setting.
* Previous ophthalmic experience.
* Experience and knowledge with ophthalmic diagnostic machines.
* At least 1 year ophthalmic experience.
