Assistant Accountant, Hybrid, Crawley, Fluent Japanese
Your new company
Our commercial client is looking to recruit an Assistant Accountant for a 12-month FTC. Fluency in Japanese is required as you will liaise with teams in Japan.
Your new role
1. Inputting bank statements in Exchequer and Yayoi for all banks.
2. Performing daily bank reconciliations and processing sales slips in both systems.
3. Producing and sending weekly transaction reports and monthly sales slip reminder emails.
4. Posting purchase and sales invoices weekly.
5. Processing sales orders in Exchequer and producing outstanding SOR reports weekly.
6. Handling expenses, payroll, petty cash postings, invoice financing bank, and post-dated cheque postings.
7. Conducting month-end reconciliations and approving payments.
8. Sending monthly FX rates to the Japan sales team and adjusting Yayoi FX rates.
9. Monitoring commission payable and supporting the Japan Finance team.
10. Allocating debtor and creditor accounts, calculating and accruing monthly Corporation Tax.
11. Performing Yayoi to Exchequer B/S reconciliations.
What you'll need to succeed
Experience working within a finance team processing purchase and sales ledger invoices, along with bank reconciliations. Fluency in Japanese and the ability to collaborate with the Japan team are essential.
What you'll get in return
This is a hybrid role: 3 days in the office, 2 remote. Salary up to £28,000 plus bonus, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.
