Job Opportunity Are you a hands-on, driven leader with a passion for keeping a workshop running like a well-oiled machine? We’re working with a respected independent specialist who’s on the hunt for an experienced Workshop Controller to take the reins of their busy and successful workshop. The Role You’ll be responsible for overseeing a team of 8 skilled technicians, ensuring daily operations run smoothly, efficiently, and to the highest standards. With no manufacturer red tape, you’ll have the freedom to make real decisions and a genuine impact. What You’ll Be Doing * Managing workflow and job allocation across the workshop * Ensuring productivity and quality standards are consistently met * Acting as the bridge between technicians and service advisors * Supporting and mentoring your team to help them perform at their best * Monitoring job progress, parts availability, and deadlines What We’re Looking For * Proven experience as a Workshop Controller in a busy workshop * Strong technical knowledge (ideally in an independent or specialist environment) * Leadership skills with a cool head under pressure * Excellent organisational and communication skills What’s On Offer * £35,000 – £45,000 basic salary (depending on experience) * Monday–Friday only (8am–5pm – no weekends!) * 22 days’ holiday bank holidays * Friendly, tight-knit team in a well-equipped, independent workshop * Real autonomy and a voice in how the workshop operates This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to make a mark in a business where their input is genuinely valued.
