Commercial Solicitor Location: Henley-on-Thames Salary: From £50,000 for around 3 years’ PQE, flexible for the right candidate Benefits: 20-25 days’ holiday, 2% pension Hours: Full time, hybrid working – typically 3 days in the office, 2 days from home About the Role We are recruiting for a Commercial Solicitor to join a boutique law firm focused on supporting businesses with corporate, commercial, and dispute resolution matters. This role offers the opportunity to manage a broad mix of commercial contracts and corporate transactions, particularly business sales and purchases, while working with a high level of autonomy. The position is ideal for a Commercial Solicitor, Corporate Solicitor, Business Lawyer, Company Commercial Solicitor, or Associate Solicitor with experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements. It would also suit candidates from regional or boutique firms looking to take on greater client responsibility in a supportive, local business-focused environment. What You’ll Do • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts • Advise on terms of business, terms and conditions, supply agreements, and trading arrangements • Run business sale and purchase transactions • Support acquisitions and disposals • Advise owner-managed businesses and SMEs on day-to-day corporate and commercial matters • Draft and advise on shareholder agreements, joint venture arrangements, and company documentation • Manage files independently and progress matters efficiently • Build and maintain strong client relationships • Take an active role in networking and business development within the local business community What We’re Looking For • Minimum 3 years’ PQE in company commercial and/or corporate commercial law • Strong experience in contractual work, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating agreements • Proven ability to handle business sale and purchase transactions • Commercial, practical, and client-focused approach • Ability to manage matters independently • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills • Interest in networking and building relationships within the local business community Who Might Suit This Role This role would suit a Commercial Solicitor or Corporate Solicitor with experience advising SMEs and owner-managed businesses.
