Key Responsibilities:This is a highly practical and dynamic role, focused on the ongoing design and development of innovative software tools, architectures, and prototypes for future defence products. Its ideally suited to a proactive Software Engineer who thrives on taking initiative and driving technical progress.
What do you need?:
* Solid foundation in software engineering with a clear understanding of its implementation and system-wide impact
* Proficient in modelling tools such as Cameo and Rhapsody
* Strong team player with a collaborative and open approach to development, maintaining momentum throughout project lifecycles
* Experienced across the full software development lifecyclefrom requirements engagement to automated integration and validation, supported by thorough documentation
* Skilled in exploring and applying new tools, techniques, and methodologies to enhance process efficiency and sustainability
* Familiar with ontologies and domain-specific languages for structured data representation
* Competent in C and C++ programming languages
* Working knowledge of DDS middleware and real-time operating systems
* Understanding of industry standards including DefStan 00-55, DO-178C, and IEC 61508
* Proactive and self-motivated, with a strong ability to take initiative and drive technical progress
