Job Duties:
1. Supervise students in the absence of a teacher to ensure a safe and productive learning environment
2. Deliver pre-prepared lessons and manage classroom behaviour
3. Support the learning and progress of students by providing assistance and guidance as needed
4. Maintain accurate records of student attendance and behaviour
5. Communicate effectively with teaching staff and parents regarding student progress and any issues that arise
Required Qualifications:
6. Minimum of GCSEs or equivalent qualifications in English and Mathematics
Education:
Relevant education and training qualifications are desirable
Experience:
Experience working with secondary school students is preferred
Knowledge and Skills:
7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
8. Ability to manage a classroom and engage students effectively
9. Organisational skills and attention to detail
10. Understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies
Preferred Qualifications:
11. Teaching Assistant qualification
12. Experience in a similar role within a school setting
Working Conditions:
This role involves working in a secondary school environment, following the school term calendar. Full-time hours are expected, with occasional requirements for additional hours or duties.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
