Key Responsibilities
Transactional Accounting
* Manage supplier accounts, including reconciliations and resolution of queries
* Process bank transactions and carry out regular bank reconciliations
* Progress towards full ownership of both sales and purchase ledgers
Month-End & Reporting
* Assist with month-end close processes
* Prepare journals
* Support preparation of management accounts
* Maintain balance sheet reconciliations
Compliance & Controls
* Ensure adherence to internal financial controls and procedures
* Support and eventually prepare VAT returns and other statutory reporting
* Assist with audit preparation and provide required documentation
* Assist with payroll processing and payroll journals
Person Specification
Skills & Experience
* Previous experience in an accounts or finance role
* Strong understanding of double-entry bookkeeping
* Strong Excel skills (basic formulas and spreadsheets)
