Retail Marketing Manager
We have an exciting opportunity for a Retail Marketing Manager to join the team at Vertu. We are offering a basic salary of £36,000, plus a company car and great company benefits.
Reporting into the Head of Retail Marketing, the role of the Retail Marketing manager is to build the awareness of Vertu and our dealership network, drive footfall to the dealerships and traffic to the website. There will be the opportunity to utilise the full marketing mix to deliver the marketing activity from brief stages to final delivery. This role suits someone who is passionate about delivering results.
For this role we are looking for you to be an exceptional communicator with the ability to influence and good at translating opportunities into lead campaign activities. You will have experience of working and delivering marketing campaigns and have great commercial awareness.
You will be planning and executing the Retail activities in line with manufacturers campaigns, brand activity and events. You will deliver all activity in line with FCA and manufacturer brand guidelines.
Key purpose
* Planning and delivery of all New, Commercial, Used and Motability campaigns by franchise
* Ensure smooth delivery of campaigns through first class delivery management
* Build professional relationships with manufacturer contacts and identify opportunities to improve working process and collaborative opportunities
* Closely manage budgets and performance to deliver growth against plan
Main tasks
1. Work with dealerships and the central Marketing partnership team to optimise local sponsorship & product placementactivity and county show appearances
1. To develop a sound understanding of the market, competitors, and consumers, and to use this to continually improve the marketing activity
1. Manage monthly and annual franchise budgets, providing narrative against performance and recommendations for future activity
2. Work with our in-house Marketing Data Analyst to understand and source data including sales and conversion data for divisional and franchise reporting
3. Events – working with the divisional sales director to deliver dealership retention events. Creation of assets for event and management of the roll out and site engagement.
1. Local marketing: POS and OOH, Sponsorship performance management, managing current arrangements and working with the central partnerships team on any new opportunities
1. Web content - Ensuring franchise website areas are up to date, new model content is created and offers reflect what is advertised elsewhere.
1. CRM communications, delivering group retention strategy
1. Collate offers and brief Studio and Media Agenciesto develop creative and deliver regional mediaassets
1. Attend meetings to represent the group or division: Divisional Ops Meeting, Dealership reviews, Manufacturer conferences, etc.
Essential Criteria:
* A degree is preferred but not essential
* Driver’s License
* Full Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint knowledge
* Ability to use Data and Marketing cohesively
* Google Analytics understanding
* Travel when required
Desirable Criteria:
* Experience of using a project management tools such as Asana
* Automotive marketing experience
* CIM Qualified
