Key Responsibilities:
* You will be responsible for diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues on control systems, minimizing downtime and ensuring smooth operations.
* Develop and execute maintenance schedules for PLCs, HMIs, and other automation hardware to keep everything running at peak performance.
* Work with Siemens, Omron, and Allen-Bradley PLC systems to enhance and modify control programs to meet evolving production needs.
* Spearhead system upgrades and process improvements, driving the implementation of new technologies to stay ahead of the curve.
* Lead engineering projects that improve site operations, efficiency, and sustainability, collaborating across teams to make it happen.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record in Controls Engineering, particularly with Siemens, Omron, and Allen-Bradley PLCs in a manufacturing or industrial setting. They will be proficient in PLC programming, troubleshooting, and maintenance, with a strong understanding of industrial networks and protocols.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Ideal qualification to HNC level.
* Absence of electrical competency certification (BS7671).
* UK Electrical Test & Inspection qualifications.
* Familiarity with SCADA systems, HMI development, robotics, motion control, and advanced automation tech.
* Knowledge of safety systems (SIL, ISO 13849).
