We are recruiting on behalf of a secondary school in Bristol who are seeking a Pastoral Support Lead to start as soon as possible.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong experience in pastoral care, behaviour management, safeguarding and student wellbeing to join a supportive school environment and make a real impact.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide pastoral support to students, promoting positive behaviour, wellbeing, and academic progress.
* Act as a first point of contact for students with behavioural or pastoral concerns.
* Work with teachers, parents and external agencies to support students with safeguarding, attendance and behaviour issues.
* Lead and contribute to the school's pastoral care strategy.
* Help create a safe and supportive environment where all students can thrive.
Candidate Requirements:
* Previous experience working within a school pastoral team is essential.
* Ability to quickly understand and manage pastoral, behavioural and academic issues.
* Strong interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills.
* Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
* Must hold an Enhanced DBS (on the update service or willing to apply).
* Must have the Right to Work in the UK.
