Role Summary
An opportunity has arisen for a Solicitor to join a highly regarded Dispute Resolution team based in Cardiff.
This role offers exposure to a varied caseload of contentious matters and would suit a newly qualified solicitor or lawyer with up to four years’ PQE looking to develop their litigation career in a dynamic and supportive environment.
The successful candidate will work closely with experienced lawyers and clients on a broad range of disputes, gaining hands‑on experience in case management, court proceedings, negotiations and client advisory work.
This position offers excellent scope for professional development and progression within a well‑established litigation team.
Key Responsibilities
* Managing a varied caseload of contentious matters from instruction through to resolution
* Drafting legal documents, correspondence and court papers
* Attending hearings, conferences and client meetings
* Negotiating with opposing parties to resolve disputes effectively
* Advising clients on litigation strategy and potential outcomes
* Supporting wider team initiatives and mentoring junior team members where appropriate
Requirements
* Qualified Solicitor or Barrister (NQ – 4 years PQE)
* Litigation or dispute resolution experience
* Strong organisational and case management skills
* Excellent communication and client relationship skills
* Ability to manage deadlines within a busy legal environment
