Overview:
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior SAP Basis Consultant (E3/E4 level) to join the Applications Root Cause Analysis (RCA) Team. This role is ideal for an experienced professional with deep expertise in SAP Basis and a proven track record in cloud operations, escalation management, and technical root cause analysis. You will play a pivotal role in improving service stability, driving operational excellence, and ensuring customer satisfaction in complex, mission-critical environments.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Investigate and follow up on outages, failed service requests, customer escalations, and complex IT problems.
2. Perform technical root cause analysis and collaborate closely with product development, technical support, and other internal teams.
3. Act as an escalation contact for customers, supported by global application experts.
4. Provide hands-on operations support in escalated or complex cases.
5. Drive initiatives to improve cloud operations quality, reduce outages, and enhance efficiency and collaboration.
6. Ensure improvement action items from RCAs are delivered on time, while identifying and addressing recurring problem patterns.
7. Deliver on agreed operational improvement initiatives and support strategic quality improvements.
Technical Skills & Experience:
8. 10+ years of IT experience, with at least 8+ years in SAP Basis and database technologies.
9. Strong, hands-on understanding of SAP application technologies, especially S/4HANA and SAP ABAP platform from a Basis perspective.
10. SAP NetWeaver certification highly beneficial.
11. Additional expertise in at least one of the following non-NetWeaver technologies: BOBJ, SAP Cloud Connector, Convergent Charging, OpenText, HANA XSA, Kubernetes/SAP Gardener.
12. Experience in cloud operations or support organizations (private or public cloud).
13. Strong knowledge of SAP Enterprise Cloud Services processes and operating models.
Soft Skills:
14. Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging with both technical and management stakeholders.
15. Strong customer focus with the ability to handle escalated cases at a senior level.
16. Networking skills to collaborate effectively with customers, internal ECS teams, product development, and support.
17. Proactive mindset with the ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
18. Fluency in English (spoken and written).
