Essential:
* 3+ years' experience working within a Residential Children's home.
* Proven experience of leading others.
* GCSE Grades C and above in English and Maths (or equivalent).
* Achieved the Level 3/4 Diploma for Residential Childcare or a qualification that the registered provider considers to be equivalent.
* Achieved or willing/able to work towards Level 5 diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare; or a qualification that the registered provider considers to be equivalent.
* Knowledge of Ofsted legislation and safeguarding procedures.
* Experience with budgets and rotas
* A full UK driving licence
* Enhanced DBS Check
Desirable:
* A relevant qualification in social work, social care, psychology, or childhood studies.
* Experience of leading and participating in multi-agency meetings.
* Experience in training others.
* Evidence of managing safeguarding enquiries.

Job Purpose
To support the Registered Manager in the effective operation and management of the children's home, ensuring high standards of care, safety and wellbeing for the children and young people.
To help lead, motivate, and support the staff team in delivering nurturing, trauma-informed, and child-centred care in line with the company's policies, procedures, and the expectations of the regulatory body.
To act as a key safeguarding lead within the home, promoting a culture of safety and vigilance and responding proactively to any concerns or incidents.
To assist with the day-to-day running of the home, including rota management, supervision of staff, oversight of budgets and resources and maintaining a safe and welcoming environment.
To take responsibility for the home in the absence of the Registered Manager, ensuring continuity of leadership and decision-making.
