Smart Education is currently recruiting a committed and enthusiastic Science Specialist Teacher to join one of our excellent secondary schools in the Teesside area. This is an exciting opportunity for a teacher who thrives on bringing learning to life and wants to make a lasting impact in science education.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Planning and delivering engaging science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
* Inspiring curiosity and enthusiasm through practical experiments and real‑world applications
* Teaching across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics, with the opportunity to specialise in your preferred subject area
* Tracking and assessing student progress, providing constructive feedback and tailored support
* Creating a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment that fosters learning and achievement
* Working collaboratively with colleagues to develop the science curriculum and share best practice
Who We’re Looking For
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS - essential
* Degree in Science or a related subject - essential
* Minimum of 6 months’ UK classroom experience - essential
* Strong subject knowledge across the science curriculum
* Excellent classroom management and communication skills
* A passion for inspiring students and promoting a love of science
* Enhanced DBS (Child or Child & Adult Workforce), or willingness to apply
