You will join a passionate, multidisciplinary team specialising in high‑quality, evidence‑based autism and ADHD assessments, through both NHS‑funded and private pathways. This role will be within our Exeter Team and is a hybrid position, we offer part‑time and full‑time positions, with a minimum of three days a week commitment. As a Specialist Neurodevelopmental Practitioner, you will contribute to comprehensive neurodevelopmental assessments, helping to ensure timely and accurate diagnoses that lead to appropriate support and improved outcomes for families.

Main duties of the job

In this role, you will contribute to high‑quality, evidence‑based neurodevelopmental assessments for children and young people. Duties include conducting structured observations via digital platforms, carrying out remote developmental history interviews with parents and carers, and actively participating in multidisciplinary team diagnostic discussions, with support from senior clinicians where required. You will deliver clear, compassionate feedback to families, ensuring that outcomes and next steps are communicated sensitively and effectively. The role also involves producing accurate and detailed clinical reports, including diagnostic formulations, with the support of our smart tools to improve efficiency and consistency. You will be expected to work effectively to meet service Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), ensuring timely assessments and reports that contribute to positive outcomes for families.

About us

At Evolve Psychology, we do things differently. Founded in 2014 by Dr Laura Powling, our mission is to combine care, connection, empathy, and clinical excellence with no compromise. What began as a small practice delivering expert witness and neurodevelopmental assessments has grown into a national independent psychology service, providing NHS‑funded assessments across the UK and, since 2023, in Dublin. We are clinician‐founded and led, fully registered with HCPC and affiliated with the British Psychological Society, CORU, PSI, and the Royal College of Speech & Language Therapists. Our award‑winning multidisciplinary team of over 100 experts specialises in autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and dyscalculia assessments for children, young people, and adults. We prioritise evidence‑based, person‑centred care that supports the whole individual, not just a diagnosis, and offer clinicians opportunities to contribute to training, research, and neuro‑inclusive initiatives. Guided by compassion, clarity, and integrity, we are growing sustainably, with clinics across the UK and Ireland and a commitment to high‑quality, meaningful impact in every service we provide.
