Overview
As part of the Navico Group team, you will be responsible for ensuring that all business systems and processes comply with internal standards and external regulatory requirements. This role plays a critical part in maintaining certifications, driving continuous improvement, and supporting operational excellence across the site by collaborating cross functionally with quality, manufacturing engineering, production, design and HR departments. This includes the ongoing maintenance and improvement of the integrated management system (IMS) in alignment with ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 standards, as well as other regulatory frameworks. Take ownership of site safety, ensuring the facility remains compliant with all Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations, and fostering a safe working environment for all employees.

Responsibilities
* Manage, maintain and continuously improve the ISO Integrated Management System, ensuring readiness for and successful facilitation of internal and external audits.
* Lead the preparation and coordination of external audits as required, including but not limited to NSF, GAR, ETL and VCA.
* Serve as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies (HSENI, NIEA, PSNI, NIFRS, etc.).
* Oversee and participate in Internal Audit program, including team management, audit scheduling, and reporting of findings.
* Lead environmental and sustainability initiatives including waste management and Zero Waste to Landfill projects.
* Develop and deliver training programs relating to the IMS, H&S and environmental compliance.
* Support the coordination of facilities maintenance including contractor management.
* Maintain a register of Health and Safety and Environmental Legislation, and ensure full compliance with Health and Safety Legislation, and with Brunswick corporate standards.
* Manage and promote a positive health and safety culture across the business.
* Monitoring Health & Safety performance within the business and develop action plans to ensure standards and company objectives are achieved.
* Chair the Health & Safety Committee and lead weekly site safety walks to identify and address potential risks.
* Report key performance indicators (KPIs) within Whale and across the wider Navico Group, and actively participate in the H&S Steering Committee.
* Conduct thorough accident investigations and manage the health and safety observation process ensuring robust corrective actions are implemented effectively.
* Complete and review risk assessments, identifying opportunities for improvements can be made and ensuring timely closure of resulting actions.
* Collaborate with other Brunswick sites on H&S and Environmental Management Systems, including travel to these sites as required.
* Stay current with Health & Safety and Environmental regulations through ongoing training and personal development.
* Perform additional duties as required, supporting the broader operational and compliance objectives of the business.
Required Qualifications
* 3rd level education in a relevant discipline (e.g. Engineering, Technical, Quality)
* 5+ years experience managing compliance or quality systems
* Proven experience in compliance, quality systems, or regulatory affairs
* ISO qualification (e.g. audit)
* Excellent communication and organizational skills
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience within a manufacturing environment
* Certification in auditing or compliance (e.g., IRCA, CQI)
* Safety Qualification (e.g. IOSH, NEBOSH)
Working Conditions
* Must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods (e.g., at a desk or workstation).
* Must be able to move around the manufacturing facility and office to access equipment, inventory, and personnel.
* Must be able to operate standard office equipment (e.g., computer, printer).
* Occasionally ascend/descend ladders or stairs to access inventory or equipment.
* Must be able to communicate effectively with team members and vendors.
* Work is performed in an office and manufacturing environment with exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels.
