Family Solicitor - Private Family (c.5 Years PQE)

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Family Solicitor to join a well-regarded and expanding family team within a respected regional law firm in their Liverpool office.
This role would suit a confident solicitor with around five years' post-qualification experience who is looking to take the next step in their career. The successful candidate will manage a varied caseload of privately funded family matters while working closely with an experienced partner in a supportive and collaborative environment.
The position offers strong exposure to high-quality work, the chance to develop your profile within the field, and genuine opportunities for progression.
The Role
You will handle a broad range of private family law matters, including:
* Divorce and separation
* Financial remedy proceedings
* Private children disputes
* Cohabitation disputes and Schedule 1 Children Act claims
* Pre- and post-nuptial agreements
Responsibilities
* Managing your own caseload with a good degree of autonomy
* Drafting pleadings, statements, agreements and other legal documents
* Advising clients on strategy and negotiating settlements
* Preparing matters for court and attending hearings including FDRs and final hearings
* Working closely with counsel, experts and other professionals
* Promoting the use of non-court dispute resolution where appropriate
* Maintaining excellent standards of client care
* Supporting and mentoring junior team members where relevant
About You
To be considered for this role you will:
* Be a qualified solicitor with around 5 years' PQE in family law
* Have experience managing private family law matters independently
* Demonstrate strong technical knowledge of family law and procedure
* Be confident dealing with clients in a professional and empathetic manner
* Have excellent drafting, negotiation and communication skills
* Be well organised and comfortable managing competing deadlines
* Enjoy working as part of a collaborative and supportive team
