Welfare & Wellbeing Support Officer – Maternity Cover (37 hours per week, 39 weeks per year – term time + 5 days). This role will support Assistant Principals, the Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead and the Mental Health Lead to promote student well‑being across Sir Christopher Hatton Academy.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide practical day‑to‑day support to senior staff concerned with safeguarding and mental health.
* Assist in the implementation of the Academy’s welfare and wellbeing framework.
* Collaborate with teaching staff, parents and pupils to identify and support students’ needs.
* Contribute to the delivery of whole‑school well‑being initiatives.
Key Qualifications
* Minimum of Level 2 qualifications in English and Maths.
* Experience and understanding of children within their family context.
* Good ICT skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work well with staff, parents and pupils.

Salary & Hours
NJC Scale Point 12 to 17 (£28,598 to £31,022 FTE). Actual salary £24,690 to £26,782 per annum. 37 hours per week, 39 weeks per year (term time + 5 days).
