Acushnet Europe, a leader in golf brand development, seeks a Senior Credit Control Manager to oversee its UK and Ireland credit management operations from our head office in St Ives, Cambridgeshire.
About the Role
The role requires a strong people leader who can own the credit function, drive cash‑collection performance, manage customer credit risk, and support the development of a high‑performing team.
Responsibilities
* Oversight of customer credit limits and escalation procedures for account issues.
* Effective debt collection and maintenance of strong cash‑flow performance across the business.
* Ownership of key financial controls, external provider relationships, month‑end reporting, and compliance activities.
* Identification of opportunities to streamline processes and improve team effectiveness.
* Collaboration with stakeholders to protect company cash flow, minimise bad‑debt exposure, and uphold robust credit‑management practices.
* Lead and mentor a credit‑control team to achieve high standards of quality, accountability and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
* Proven credit‑control management experience, ideally within an FMCG or comparable environment.
* Strong background in credit‑risk assessment and cash‑collection strategies.
* Excellent organisational, decision‑making and leadership skills.
* Advanced Excel and reporting capabilities; experience with SAP S/4HANA and BI reporting a plus.
* Professional certification (CICM) desirable but not essential.
* Clear communication ability at all levels and a collaborative mindset.
