Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will drive continuous improvement initiatives across machining, assembly, and finishing processes. * The Senior Manufacturing Engineer will evaluate existing processes to identify opportunities to reduce non-value-added activity, improve workflow efficiency, and lower operating costs. * You will support best practices including FMEA, SPC, value stream mapping, and standard operating procedures. * In this hands-on role, the Senior Manufacturing Engineer will use data-driven analysis to identify inefficiencies, present improvement proposals to management, and support the development of a strong lean culture. * You will also manage multiple manufacturing engineering projects focused on quality, cost, and delivery improvements. * The Senior Manufacturing Engineer will work with suppliers and tooling vendors to reduce costs, maintain engineering standards, and ensure all activities are conducted safely, efficiently, and on time. * You will act as a technical point of contact across departments, offering guidance and supporting the development of fellow engineers. Regular communication with stakeholders, participation in cross-functional meetings, and a proactive approach to problem-solving are central to the Senior Manufacturing Engineer role. Skills & Experience: * Minimum 5 years’ experience in manufacturing or process engineering * Strong background in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement * Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (advantageous) * Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications * Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project planning skills * Practical knowledge of mechanical and electrical engineering principles * Proficiency in Microsoft Office and business systems * Experience within aerospace or regulated manufacturing environments (advantageous) * Knowledge of AS9100 standards and NEBOSH certification (preferred) The Company: This organisation is a well-established, precision-focused manufacturing business operating in a highly regulated, safety-critical industry.
