Location: Bristol (mostly onsite)Duration: 12-month contractRate: £75ph UMB (Inside IR35)Role details:Our client, a leading organisation in the Defence & Security sector, are looking for a Simulation & Modelling Engineer to join their team. The successful candidate will contribute to a fast-paced and challenging project, leveraging expertise in modelling and simulation to support the design and development of advanced guided weapon systems.Key Responsibilities:Developing models to support initial feasibility and concept proving studiesSupporting design development and trade-off studies through modellingProviding models for ground testing, including Hardware in the Loop testingGenerating models for trials programmes, including trials predictions and post-trial analysisCreating full system reference models for performance statements and design verificationIntegrating components within the team and from other project areasDesigning, implementing, testing, and documenting models to comply with quality standardsInteracting with functional teams, conducting technical analyses, and developing solutionsEngaging with model users to ensure the model meets its intended useJob Requirements:Experience in Simulation and Modelling, preferably within Aerospace projectsProficiency with The MathWorks products, specifically Simulink, Embedded MATLAB, and StateflowAbility to produce computer simulations or Simulink models from mathematical specificationsUnderstanding of the modelling process and working within a quality processEngineering Degree or Masters in Systems or Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or PhysicsDesirable Skills:Experience with Rational Team Concert or similar configuration management toolsKnowledge of DOORS or similar requirement management toolsProficiency in C, FORTRAN, and AdaInterested?
