We are seeking a Schools Programme Tutor to join our Education Centre in Peterborough. The primary purpose of this role is to support 14-16-year-old students with academic, vocational, and pastoral subjects, while developing their employability, personal, and social skills.

What will I be doing as a Schools Programme Tutor?
This role involves supporting students' academic, personal, and professional development on an ongoing basis.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
* Delivering training and support to a small cohort of 14+ year olds on Nacro’s Schools and Study Programme.
* Conducting initial assessments for all learners enrolled on Nacro Education programmes to ensure their needs are met.
* Developing appropriate learning resources, facilities, and environments to support high-quality teaching and learning.
* Assisting in the delivery of all accredited and non-accredited qualifications and supporting both practical and theoretical course components.
* Monitoring and reviewing attendance and progress, following up as necessary to help learners achieve their targets.
Requirements for this role:
* Teaching qualification CET equivalent or above. Support is available to achieve a teaching qualification if needed.
* Level 2 English and Maths qualifications.
* A DBS check is essential.
Skills and attributes we are looking for:
* Ability to engage with learners from different age groups.
* Excellent organisational and planning skills, with the ability to manage conflicting priorities.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Calm and objective when facing challenges, including managing challenging behaviour.
* Previous teaching or learning support experience within an educational setting is advantageous.
