Role: 3rd Line Support Engineer
Work Pattern: On-site (with client visits)
Salary: £35,000-£45,000
Location: Skelmersdale
A growing MSP is looking for a skilled 3rd Line Support Engineer to act as the technical escalation point for its service desk. This role suits a confident, solutions-focused engineer with strong troubleshooting ability and broad technical expertise.

Key Responsibilities
* Handle complex technical escalations and support junior engineers.
* Deliver advanced troubleshooting across cloud services, networking, servers, security tools, and endpoint management.
* Drive service improvements by refining standards and processes.
* Lead root-cause investigations and ensure long-term fixes for recurring issues.
* Support technical projects including migrations, onboarding, and infrastructure upgrades.
* Liaise with vendors and partners to resolve challenging issues.
* Maintain and improve internal documentation and knowledge resources.
* Provide technical insight for internal teams and client reviews.
Skills & Experience
* Previous experience in a senior or 3rd line role (MSP experience preferred).
* Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Microsoft 365, networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, routing), firewalls, cloud services, and backups.
* Ability to mentor junior team members and contribute to continual service improvement.
