Sales & Events Coordinator
Job Description
1. Work closely with the Sales Office Manager and the sales team.
2. Maximise venue potential and achieve monthly budgets.
3. Assist in rate strategy for M&E aligned with budget expectations.
4. Handle reservations for bedrooms for events and transient guests.
5. Attend all mandatory and job-specific training.
6. Provide high levels of customer care during the lead-up and events.
7. Maximise sales and revenue through positive sales opportunities.
8. Follow sales disciplines and procedures to develop the business.
9. Respond promptly to customer enquiries within hotel guidelines.
10. Manage diary efficiently within the conference office.
11. Maintain sales information using Opera, following company guidelines.
12. Attend communication and operational meetings as the sales department representative.
13. Support invoicing processes, ensuring timely and accurate billing.
14. Assist the Director of Sales with new leads and client events.
15. Build and maintain relationships with key accounts.
16. Be aware of competitors' services and facilities to promote our hotel.
17. Comply with health and safety legislation, report issues, and participate in training.
18. Understand and adhere to Accident & Maintenance and Fire safety procedures.
19. Support the wider Operations Team and undertake ad hoc tasks as assigned by HOD or Hotel Manager.
