The Outdoor Education Service provides high quality outdoor and residential experiences within Snowdonia National Park.
What is the job role? We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Outdoor Education & Activity Leader to join our dedicated team. You will plan and deliver outdoor learning experiences and activity programmes across Coventry. This role combines leading activity sessions, supporting children and young people’s wellbeing, and contributing to curriculum-based and holiday programmes. You will work in schools, outdoor centres, and community settings, bringing learning to life in the natural environment.
Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver outdoor and environmental education activities, including Forest School, team-building, invasion games, and problem-solving challenges.
* Lead sessions for schools, groups, and holiday camps, ensuring they are safe, engaging, and inclusive.
* Act as a responsible adult for groups, supporting their physical, emotional, and social care.
* Support the planning and coordination of programmes, projects, and events.
* Ensure safeguarding and health & safety best practice is followed at all times.
* Contribute to programme administration, risk assessments, and evaluations.
* Help maintain equipment, set up activities, and assist with general operational duties.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues, schools, families, and partner organisations to deliver outstanding experiences.
Requirements and Conditions
* All candidates must have the Right to Work in the UK. We are currently not offering sponsorship for this role.
* This post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and appointment is conditional upon satisfactory DBS checks.
