We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Senior Sous Chef with a background in Rosette operations to join our dynamic kitchen team. Our client is a 2 Rosette, 4* Star hotel and restaurant. The ideal candidate will have a passion for culinary arts and a commitment to delivering high-quality meals in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
What we would like from you:
* Working effectively within the Kitchen team to ensure high level of service standards.
* Excellent knowledge of food hygiene standards, checking that all food is stored and used in rotation to eliminate wastage and adhere to the Health and Hygiene Laws.
* Assist with menu development and innovation.
* Assist with stocktaking, management of kitchen hygiene, food storage and supervising.
* Following close down procedure at the end of shift to ensure safety of equipment and security of produce is maintained.
* Excellent communication skills and enjoy working as a team.
* Advantageous to have an NVQ Level 2/3 in Food production or any other related culinary skills qualification.
* Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
* Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient service during busy periods.
* Help train new kitchen staff in food preparation techniques and safety practices.
* Ensure that all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and cleaned after use.
Skills:
* Proven experience in meal preparation within a restaurant or commercial kitchen setting.
* Strong culinary skills with an understanding of various cooking techniques.
* Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in food preparation.
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
* Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively within a kitchen environment.
* A proactive approach to problem-solving and willingness to help others as needed.
