Oxford
Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust
Posted: 25 March
Offer description

The department seeks to appoint a Senior Renal Cancer Fellow (CCT level) for a fixed term of 1 year to this fellowship. The Oxford renal cancer unit is one of the UK's highest volume renal cancer centres and performs over 150 renal cancer surgeries every year. The hospital offers a thermal ablation service for appropriate renal tumours. Training is also available in retroperitoneal lymph node dissections and retroperitoneal sarcoma surgery, where Oxford provides a tertiary referral centre for these specialist surgeries. Subspecialist fellowship training is available in all aspects of renal cancer surgery (open including IVC/lap/robotic). This post will also provide paid protected time to undertake formal research in renal cancer, primarily involving use of AI in renal tumour imaging. Several trials (WIRE and Partial) are presently open in Oxford and the successful candidate can get involved in recruitment for these. A senior renal cancer surgery fellowship as a one year fixed‑term contract from October 2024. The appointment is on a whole‑time basis but applications are welcome from those who wish to job‑share.
