The Role A well-established business is seeking a commercially focused Quantity Surveyor to join their Nelson office on a permanent, full-time basis. You will play a key role within the Commercial Team, supporting the financial and contractual management of projects across the business. This is a fully office-based role (Mon–Fri, 8:30am–5pm), so candidates must be located within a reasonable commuting distance to Nelson. Key Responsibilities * Assist with financial and contractual management of projects, including interim applications, cost forecasting, and final accounts. * Monitor project expenditure, work value, and cashflow to ensure budgets and margins are achieved. * Manage subcontractor packages from procurement to payment, including valuations, variations, and reporting. * Process client orders/contracts, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations. * Provide monthly reconciliations, cashflow forecasts, and profitability analysis. * Conduct site visits and attend client/subcontractor meetings to support project teams. * Maintain accurate commercial and financial records in line with company procedures. * Identify and resolve commercial or financial issues, escalating where necessary.
