Job Description

Cloch Housing Association seeks a Housing Officer to deliver high quality, consistent and customer focused housing services across Inverclyde. The role is central to our vision of exceeding customer expectations and involves managing a defined patch of housing stock and a caseload of tenants, acting as a visible and trusted presence within the community.

Responsibilities

* Tenancy & Income Management: manage rent accounts, prevent arrears through early intervention, agree repayment arrangements, and progress proportionate recovery and legal action where required.
* Anti‑Social Behaviour & Enforcement: investigate and manage ASB and tenancy breach cases, balancing tenancy sustainment with firm, proportionate enforcement to protect communities.
* Estate & Neighbourhood Management: maintain standards through estate inspections, address environmental and neighbourhood issues, and take action where tenancy conditions or safety concerns arise.
* Allocations & Voids: provide professional oversight of allocations, support tenancy sign‑ups, apply judgement in higher risk or complex cases, and contribute to reducing void loss.
* Customer Engagement & Service Delivery: act as a key point of contact for tenants, deliver clear, professional communication, resolve issues early and support a positive customer experience.
* Casework & Partnership Working: manage complex and high‑risk cases, work closely with internal teams and external agencies to support tenancy sustainment, safeguarding and positive outcomes.

Fit at Cloch

* Communicate clearly, confidently and with empathy.
* Build strong, positive relationships with tenants and partner agencies.
* Apply sound professional judgement and take responsibility for outcomes.
* Balance support with fair and proportionate enforcement.
* Remain resilient and solution‑focused when managing challenging situations.
* Live our values (Be Better, Be Kind, Be Responsible, Be Positive) through your day‑to‑day approach to housing management.

Benefits

This is a two‑year fixed‑term, part‑time (14 hours per week) job share post with a salary of £42,707–£46,895 (Grade 7, pro‑rata), hybrid working arrangements, 8 weeks’ annual leave (pro‑rata), family‑friendly policies, SHAPS pension scheme, and a strong focus on wellbeing.
