Senior C++ Developer

You would be working with a close-nit development team on the development and rollout of high performance, customer facing Self-Service Terminal platform to be used in over 1400 stores across the UK.
As a Senior Developer, you'll play a key role in the evolution of the software, supporting feature enhancements, performance improvements, UI implementation and integration with various hardware components. You'll take ownership of complex tasks, work closely with other developers, QA engineers, and delivery leads, and mentor less experienced developers to help deliver high-quality solutions.
Job Duties
5. Design and implement high quality solutions to business requirements
6. Deliver performance and reliability in software
7. Ensure quality through unit and automation tests
8. Integrate with hardware peripherals
9. Support and develop backend services
10. Implement UI design changes and improvements
11. Review code, testing, and debugging
12. Promote best practice
13. Write and maintain technical documentation
14. Collaborate with QA to support test coverage and investigate issues
15. Work as part of an Agile delivery team to help meet sprint goals
16. Mentor less experienced developers
Reqwuirements:
17. Approx. 7 years recent experience in C++
18. Familiarity with Windows development and Visual Studio
19. A solid knowledge of the STL
20. Exposure to Qt and QML
21. Experience of client-server architecture
Desirable
22. Interest in or experience with hardware communication (. serial, USB)
23. Experience or familiarity with C#
24. Knowledge/experience of DevOps/GitOps
25. Experience and knowledge of multi-threading
