The role of the Repairs & Maintenance Supervisor (known internally as Lead Technician) is a key position within the Direct Repairs department. This role involves leading a team of multi-trade operatives to deliver a comprehensive, efficient, and responsive property service. The primary focus is to provide high-quality responsive maintenance to residents, colleagues, and partners, while supporting operatives from repair inception to completion and ensuring quality assurance.
Your main base will be in Bracknell, with regular travel across Berkshire. A company van will be provided for work purposes.
Duties include:
1. Managing day-to-day operations of a team of operatives across various trades.
2. Overseeing workstreams, productivity, and ensuring value for money.
3. Promoting safe working practices through monitoring and training.
4. Managing fleet, equipment, and materials, including stock control, maintenance, and safety.
5. Handling resident liaison, including initial complaints and escalation procedures.
Ideally, you will have experience working for a Housing Association, House Builder, Local Authority, or Construction contractor in a similar supervisory role.

* A blended management style supporting operatives and residents, promoting self-awareness, and a commitment to service improvement.
* Ability to make sound judgments, solve complex problems, and manage risks effectively.
* A positive, collaborative approach to team working, dealing effectively with residents and colleagues.
You must hold a full UK driving license with no more than six points and no serious motoring offences in the past 10 years. A minimum of two years' driving experience is required. Driving license checks will be conducted during pre-employment screening.
