As a Consultant Psychiatrist in Liaison Psychiatry at QEQM Hospital, Margate, you will deliver high-quality clinical services and be involved in strategic team and service development.
East Kent Hospitals University Foundation Trust provides a full range of hospital services to around 500,000 residents. The Liaison Psychiatry Service offers a single contact point for mental health needs in the Emergency Department and general hospital.
Main duties of the job
1. Provide psychiatric care to patients referred to the Liaison Psychiatry Service.
2. Provide professional and clinical leadership to the Liaison Multidisciplinary Team.
3. Supervise medical staff and lead the Liaison MDT.

Training, Qualifications and Registration
* MB BS or equivalent
* GMC registration with licence to practise
* On GMC Specialist Register or within six months
* Approved Clinician status or able to achieve within 3 months
* Approved under S12 or able to achieve within 3 months
* Good standing with GMC
* Additional clinical qualifications, degrees in medical education, research, or management
Transport
* Valid UK driving licence or alternative evidence

* Excellent specialty knowledge and clinical skills
* Strong communication skills in English
* Ability to manage complex clinical scenarios and uncertainty
