CNC Machine Programmer (Voortman/Ficep_ £35-£40k Leeds Location: Leeds, West Yorkshire

This position offers a unique blend of CNC programming and production planning responsibilities, working with advanced machinery and software systems.

Key responsibilities
Create and optimise CNC programmes for steel processing machinery (Voortman, Ficep, Kaltenbach, Peddinghaus).
Use specialist software such as VACAM, Steel Projects, Peddimat, and BEAMDrill.
Interpret engineering drawings, CAD files, and DSTV data to ensure precision.
Collaborate with production planning to maximise machine utilisation and reduce downtime.
Troubleshoot programming issues and maintain accurate programme libraries.
Support production teams to achieve high-quality output on schedule.
Candidate Requirements
Proven CNC programming experience in the structural steel industry.
Knowledge of Voortman, Ficep, Kaltenbach, or Peddinghaus machinery.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and CAD files.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Desirable: Experience with ERP/MRP systems (SAP) and nesting software.
