The Role
As a Support Worker at Rushcliffe Care Group, your primary responsibility will be to provide physical, social, and psychological care to our service users. You will work closely with healthcare team leaders to ensure the well-being and dignity of individuals we support. Your key responsibilities will include:
* Promoting the dignity and independence of individuals we support, taking into account their unique needs and backgrounds.
* Assisting with daily activities such as personal care, meal times, and social interactions, while encouraging freedom of choice.
* Participating in social activities, outings, and hobbies, helping to create a vibrant and engaging atmosphere for those in our care.
* Providing emotional and psychological support through active listening, conversation, and 1-to-1 activities.
* Maintaining accurate documentation of care provided and reporting any changes in a service user’s physical or emotional state.
* Adhering to health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe and clean environment for both service users and staff.
* Undertaking training and development opportunities, including completing the Care Certificate within the probationary period.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A caring and compassionate nature with a strong commitment to providing high-quality care.
* No formal qualifications are required, but you must be willing to work towards and achieve the Care Certificate.
* A positive attitude towards health and social care, with a focus on respecting the dignity and rights of service users.
* The ability to work effectively as part of a team, following the guidance and supervision of senior staff members.
* Good communication skills, with the ability to engage with service users, their families, and other healthcare professionals.
* A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to health and safety practices at all times.
* Flexibility and reliability, with good timekeeping and a neat and tidy appearance in line with our uniform policy.
