Net Zero Trainer & Educator
£29,773 Up to 5% bonus

We have an exciting opportunity to work as part of our energy future education outreach team. This is a pivotal role which involves delivering engaging and informative sessions around Net Zero and climate change.
As a Net Zero Trainer & Educator, you will focus on creating sessions to demonstrate how NGN can reach NET Zero and the work NGN undertakes to help decarbonise the energy system. You will work with stakeholders to tailor sessions to the needs of schools and colleagues, communicating to both students and staff. Topics include Net Zero, the greenhouse effect, renewable energy, the future of energy, and the impact of greenhouse gases.
You will need to travel to various locations to deliver education sessions, so a full driving licence and access to a vehicle are required.
Key accountabilities and responsibilities
1. Deliver a suite of interactive and engaging learning sessions through methods such as assemblies, lessons, presentations, fairs, career talks, and full-day activities.
2. Support in designing new educational resources with the education team.
3. Evaluate and monitor the outreach program sessions, tailoring content for different audiences.
4. Deliver training (CPD) for education staff about Net Zero and NGN's role, enabling informed discussions with students.
5. Keep updated with developments in the gas industry and Net Zero initiatives to inform session content.
6. Spread the reach of the education outreach program across the network, seeking new audiences and engagement opportunities.
What we are looking for
* Experience working with communities or members of the public.
* A passion for communicating with children in an inclusive environment.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* An enthusiastic individual with confidence and self-motivation.
* Passion for learning and community engagement.
* Ability to prioritize workload and work effectively in a team.
* Flexibility to work outside normal hours occasionally, including evenings and weekends.
* IT skills in Excel, Word, and Outlook.
* Full UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle.
* Ability to undertake an enhanced criminal record check.
