The role Lead, Inspire, and Shape the Future of Contract Services at Southern Housing! Are you ready to take the next step in your career and make a real impact on communities? As our Business Support Manager for Contract Services, you'll be at the heart of delivering a high-quality support service to our frontline Repairs team. Reporting directly to the Director of Reactive Repairs, you'll drive innovation by streamlining administrative processes, leading special projects, and helping to unite legacy teams into a single, resident-centric service. Based at one of our main offices Farringdon, Croydon, Isle of Wight, Maidstone, or Sittingbourne with flexible hybrid working, you'll provide strong leadership and motivation to your team of Contract Services Administrators. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring clear communication, supporting team development, and embedding best practice across regions. From managing recruitment and communications to overseeing purchase orders and performance reporting, you'll play a key part in delivering excellence every day. What you'll be doing Co-ordinate the delivery of purchase orders to ensure these are raised in accordance with procedures, and other financial systems are updated where required. Lead on the implementation of any updated payment software and resolve any barriers to payment. Facilitate the development of and co-ordinate, the gathering of accurate information to support key performance indicators via the creation of charts and graphs and produce reports as required. Take ownership of our sky-guard and lone working procedure, ensuring compliance with procedure to keep colleagues safe. Provide project support to the team and allocate resource to administrative projects as required. What you'll need Proven leadership capability, ability to motivate and support your teams. You should have experience in fostering a positive work environment and promoting a culture of teamwork and collaboration. Substantial, proven experience of administration and business support management. Experience of identifying areas for process improvement and delivering service improvement, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Proficient in prioritising and organising tasks amidst competing demands, with a focus on allocating resources equally and effectively to support key operational areas. Completing and documenting one to ones with your team, addressing any underperformance issues, providing constructive feedback, and recognising achievements. A proactive mindset and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve business challenges or issues that may arise within your area of work.
