I am currently partnered with an International Consultancy who are seeking a Business Rates Surveyor at an Associate Director level. This opportunity will be joining a thriving team who are exceeding targets year on year and unindated with work. They are one of the leading teams in the market operating in the Business Rates sector covering off multiple asset classes. This role is perfect for someone at a Senior Surveyor level looking to move into an Associate position.
Your new role
1. Devise and implement strategies to reduce clients' Business Rates Liabilities
2. Manage empty rates liabilities and submit relief applications
3. Inspect and accurately measure properties for rating valuation purposes
4. Review rating assessments based on rental and comparable evidence to determine whether a Rateable Value is excessive.
5. Prepare and submit high-quality, well-reasoned Check, Challenge, Appeal (CCA) submissions to the Valuation Office Agency (VOA)
6. Effectively manage and build strong client relationships, providing expert advice and regular updates
7. Produce reports, attend and lead client meetings
8. Manage workload effectively to meet strict CCA deadlines
9. Develop new business opportunities and build internal relationships to maximise cross-selling potential
