The In-house legal team is a high regarded and integral group function and is populated with legal personnel with stellar pedigrees and profiles. There now exists an opportunity for a talented and commercially minded Legal Counsel to join our close-knit team on a 12-month fixed term contract based out of the Manchester / Leeds area The Role The purpose of this role is to provide legal advice to stakeholders at various levels of the organisation and manage legal contract work across the Group’s business areas and key responsibilities will include drafting, reviewing, negotiating and advising on commercial agreements across a variety of areas with both clients and suppliers. You’ll provide support to business teams in contract negotiations with clients and suppliers which includes being able to efficiently provide a risk assessment of proposed contracts, clearly distinguishing between critical and less critical risk. The person A UK qualified solicitor with UK experience and preferably at least 3 years PQE in contract law, intellectual property or data protection. You’ll be commercially minded, pragmatic, and a solutions-focused lawyer, able to communicate clearly and comfortably operating at a high level of autonomy, ownership, organisation.
